Terms of Service

Last updated: November 14, 2025

Presentation of the service

Mailqor includes a Chrome/Firefox extension and a web application. Together they help you check whether an email sender is known in our database.

The Mailqor badge is a safety aid, not a guarantee or certification of authenticity.

AI analysis is optional and only runs when you request it manually.

Eligibility

To use Mailqor you must:

  • Be at least 16 years old (or the legal minimum in your country, whichever is higher)
  • Be the legal holder of the account you create and keep your details up to date
  • Use the service in accordance with local laws and professional obligations

Account and authentication

When creating or using an account, you agree to the following:

  • Provide a valid, reachable email address
  • Protect your password, tokens, and any API keys linked to your workspace
  • Mailqor may suspend or close any account involved in abuse (spam, scraping, denial of service, or attempts to bypass limits)

Use of the extension

Mailqor grants you a personal, non-transferable right to use the browser extension solely to assess incoming emails.

You may:

  • Install and run the extension in Gmail, Outlook, or other supported inboxes
  • Display the Mailqor badge above messages to see whether the sender is known
  • Launch a manual AI review whenever you explicitly click the relevant button

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, modify, or redistribute the extension code
  • Sell, rent, or white-label Mailqor to third parties without written approval
  • Automate queries, scrape, or bulk export entries from our database
  • Use the product to run phishing campaigns, social engineering tests, or other offensive operations

Relationship with Google and Microsoft

Mailqor is not affiliated with, endorsed, or sponsored by Google LLC or Microsoft Corporation.

Our use of their APIs and services strictly follows the Google API Services User Data Policy and the Microsoft Graph terms.

Intellectual property

Mailqor, its logo, name, interface, and every technical, graphic, and textual component of the platform and extension are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

Unless you obtain written authorization, any reproduction, modification, diffusion, or reuse of these elements is strictly prohibited.

Badge classification of emails

Mailqor uses three simple labels to help you evaluate a sender:

BadgeMeaning
VerifiedDomain already listed in our trusted database with consistent technical signals
Not checkedDomain unknown or the message has not been evaluated yet
SuspiciousMetadata, alignment, or infrastructure signals indicate a possible risk

These statuses never guarantee authenticity or safety and must be combined with your own verification workflow.

Service availability

We do our best to keep Mailqor available without interruption, but we cannot guarantee that the service will always be free of downtime, errors, or latency.

Mailqor may temporarily or permanently suspend the service for maintenance, upgrades, or in case of force majeure.

Limitation of liability

Mailqor provides decision support based on technical and community signals. Badges or AI analyses are informational only and never replace your own judgment.

We do not guarantee that every "Verified" email is legitimate, nor that every "Suspicious" email is fraudulent.

You remain solely responsible for the actions you take after using the service.

Mailqor, its founder, and partners cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect damage, data loss, fraud, financial prejudice, or any other harm resulting from the use, unavailability, or misinterpretation of the service.

Premium services

Mailqor may offer paid plans with additional features.

  • Premium access unlocks extended sender history, custom domain monitoring, and expanded AI quotas.
  • Subscriptions follow the price shown at checkout and renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand.
  • You can cancel at any time from your dashboard, and the current period will remain active until expiry.
  • No retroactive refunds are issued once a period has started, except where required by law.

Suspension and termination

Both parties retain flexibility regarding account lifecycle.

  • Mailqor may suspend or terminate an account without prior notice in case of abuse, legal requests, or unpaid invoices.
  • You can delete your account at any time via the settings page or by contacting support.
  • Deleting an account does not automatically erase aggregated or anonymised security logs kept to protect the platform.

Personal data

Using Mailqor involves collecting and processing certain personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. Privacy Policy.

By using Mailqor, you accept the processing described in that document.

We may update these Terms from time to time.

  • Updated versions take effect upon publication on mailqor.com/terms.
  • We will notify active customers of any major change via email or in-product notice.
  • Continuing to use Mailqor after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

  • Any dispute will be submitted exclusively to the Tribunal judiciaire d'Auch, France.
